Term 4 Master Blaster/Kanga Cricket Resumes
Second half of the cricket season resumes on Saturday 31 October for our Year 2/3 Master Blaster/Kanga team. Please ensure that your child attends their designated training session on Wednesdays after school from 3:15pm – 4:00pm, as they are an important part of ensuring development of skills required for game day.
Catholic Schools Athletics Carnival
Forty-five students from Years 3 to 6 are busy preparing themselves for this annual event which will take place on Monday 2 November at Athletics SA Stadium at Mile End. I have been so impressed by their enthusiasm and willingness to train and improve their fitness and skills for their selected events leading up to the Carnival. We wish them all the best on their endeavours!
Kelly Sports Basketball Program
Our school Basketball Skills Program got underway yesterday after school. Twenty enthusiastic students from Reception to Year 6 have signed up to develop their skills and learn the basics of the game of basketball over the next five weeks.
Hot Weather Policy – Summer Sport
A reminder that if the forecasted temperature is 36° or above on any given day, all sport games and trainings are automatically cancelled. If you are unsure, ring the school after 2pm on the day to determine if session will go ahead.
Sports Day 2020 – Put the date in your diary!
Our re-scheduled Sports Day 2020 will be held on Thursday 19 November from 9:15am – 1:00pm. Parents/caregivers are most welcome to attend. A more detailed note regarding Sports Day will be distributed to the school community in Week 4.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Angel M (Year 6) on her recent achievements in her chosen sport of tennis. She is very committed to her tennis and has had a successful season with her club, Denman. Angel was part of a team that won the Southern District Tennis Association championship in Division 2 Girls. In addition, Angel also competed in 4 more tournaments recently, resulting in her being the winner in two and runner-up in the other two tournaments. Well done, Angel!
